The MODRENEC has been playing under the auspices of the elementary school of arts Adolfa Voborského in Prague 4, Modřany, since 2002.
The group is a member of the Folk Association of the Czech Republic. The musicians are children between 6 and 18 years of age. The repertoire includes folk songs from the entire Bohemia.
The music ensamble is directed by Mrs. Eva Špačková, who also autors most of the song arrangments.
In May 2007, the band recorded new CD (you can listen short samples here).
